ABOUT ME
Chartered on 23rd August 1937, we are the oldest Rotary club in Kerala and one of the longest-established in South India.
Our current membership of over 100 members,
includes eminent professionals, businessmen and
leaders in various fields who have headed prominent
organisations in the country.
Since inception, we are proud to have sponsored
8 other Rotary Clubs and contributed 6 Governors
to our Rotary District.
An Illustrious Line of Presidents
Our Charter President was
Sir R. K. Shanmukham Chetty
the Diwan of Cochin and
the first Finance Minister of independent India

We meet every Wednesday at 6.30 PM at the Rotary Club of Cochin Balbhavan for companionship and exchange of views as well as to engage with thought-leaders on topics relevant to the day

Over the last 8 decades, we have been committed to meet the needs of the community around us and to help the deserving, and we shall continue to strive towards creating
a better future, while embodying the Rotary spirit of “Service above Self”.
We are a 100% PHF Club, that actively contributes to the Rotary Foundation (which carries out life-changing, sustainable projects around the world)
We work closely with Inner Wheel Club of Cochin (comprised predominantly of Rotaryannes), and also partner with other local and foreign clubs for joint meetings and large-scale projects on a case-to-case basis.
