Rotary Club of Cochin Bal Bhavan in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi, was built more than 3 decades ago with international co-operation
and is the hub of all Club activities:
The Club Office is located at Balbhavan and is open from
9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays.
Rotary Club of Cochin meetings are held on all Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m at Bal bhavan. Board and Committee meetings are also conducted here. All meetings of the Inner Wheel Club of Cochin are also held at Balbhavan.
The Balbhavan premises are used as the hub for all disaster management / relief initiatives coordinated by the Rotary Club of Cochin. Many Youth Service Activities such as extempore speech competitions, quiz competitions, RYLA etc are conducted at Balbhavan
Conference Halls
The Rotary Hall (for weddings, exhibitions and other functions), A/c Conference Room (for seminars, with A/V facilities) & Meeting Room (for training sessions and smaller gatherings) are available on rent. The income generated is credited to the Rotary Club of Cochin Community Service Trust account and used for community service activities.

Park
A children’s park with play equipment and a children’s library are also available in the Balbhavan free of cost. These were opened in association with the Inner Wheel Club of Cochin.
Library
A spacious, well lit Reading Room cum Library is open to children starting from ages 4 to 14 with a wide range of titles. It has something for any kind of reader.




Clinics and Camps
Monthly eye clinics and medical camps at the Rotary Club of Cochin Balbhavan have been conducted for over 2 decades. Currently, a free Eye Clinic in association with Giridhar Eye Institute operates on the first & third Fridays of every month from 9.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
Other health camps are also conducted from time-to-time.
A Pulse Polio Booth functions at the Balbhavan as and when announced by the Government.
Child Care Centre
Earlier, a pre-school, day care centre and a kindergarten school under the banner “Bhavana” were operated for several years at Balbhavan to support the local community, but have since been closed as demand for these facilities reduced.
Currently, a Child Care Centre for detection/ treatment of learning disabilities among children and hearing disability among infants functions at Balbhavan.
